Der skrives og tales meget for, at e-cigaretter er et sundere alternativ til almindelige cigaretter. Mange af dem der er imod e-cigaretter, har en pointe i, at vi reelt set ikke ved hvilke kemiske processor der opstår ved dampning. Men hvis vi ser bort fra dette – i hvert fald indtil vi får lagt nogle godkendte analyser for dette på bordet – så skal der ikke så meget hovedregning til, for at forestille sig, at e-cigaretter ER sundere end almindelige cigaretter. Indholdet i almindelige cigaretter
Dette er ikke en fuldendt liste, men svarer til cirka en fjerdedel af indholdet i en almindelig cigaret. Grunden til dette, er at man endnu ikke har fundet frem til alle kemiske stoffer i en cigaret. Man forventer, at der er mere end 4.000. Denne liste blev holdt hemmelig af tobaksindustrien i mange år, hvorfor vi kun kan gisne om, at de i virkeligheden kender mere til sandheden end vi gør.
